Terms & Conditions

The following general terms and conditions apply, however regional circumstances and regulations, contractual obligations to suppliers, and matters relating to location, product type and supply logistics may cause these to be varied slightly for specific products, or specific destinations.  The terms and conditions here within apply to Cause Me to Travel’s online and print publications, and to all services provided online, by phone, or in person.

• Travel arrangements and prices detailed on our web sites are provided and coordinated by Cause Me to Travel, LLC and our partner vendors as noted.
• Cause Me to Travel, LLC has taken due care and responsibility to verify and check all information on our web site as at the time of compilation, however, as this information is supplied by the relevant accommodation & tour/cruise operators in our brochures, it accepts no responsibility for any inaccuracy or misrepresentation contained online or in print.
• Sales of services as contained in our online and print publications are made by Cause Me to Travel, LLC only as agent for the person, business or company providing the services. The standards of accommodation and other services chosen are based on various factors, which are generally accepted as indicative of a certain class.
• Cause Me to Travel does not accept responsibility for any change in prices or variation of services as shown, and all services and prices are subject to change without notice.
• Cause Me to Travel does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of those service providers in connections with your convention pursuant to a contract between them and yourselves and over whom we have no direct control. We do not accept liability in contract or in tort (actionable wrong) for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or other events which are beyond our control, or which are not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part including, but not limited to war, civil disturbance, fire, floods, unusually severe weather, acts of God, acts of Government or of any other authorities, accidents to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action.
• It is essential that you check with us for any changes or variations to the information shown on our web sites. This will allow us to advise you of any such changes that we are aware of either before you book your vacation, or prior to your departure.

Rates and Price Variations: We reserve the right to vary prices and rates in the event of changes in exchange rates or price rises made by wholesalers or other suppliers. If the cost of any service increases due to exchange rate fluctuations, price increases, tax changes or any other reason, you are required to pay the increase when notified by us or you may cancel the booking which may result in cancellation fees. We are not liable in any way if any increase occurs. Rates quoted are appropriate to the particular product at the time of quoting and these rates may change prior to the travel date. All prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice.

Deposits: Bookings travelling within 45 days will be required to pay the full amount at the time of confirmation. Bookings travelling more than 45 days out will be required to pay a minimum deposit of 25% per person for most group tours at the time of confirmation. The deposit amount may be greater depending upon supplier request, and may also be greater if traveling less than 60 days from the departure date.  The appropriate amount will automatically be debited to the credit card provided. Any booking not deposited with us by this time will automatically cancel without notification. Deposit conditions for certain accommodation and tour products may vary, these are listed on the individual page. We will advise you in writing of these conditions at the time of booking. Bookings over Christmas and New Year’s may require an additional deposit percentage, and may include a greater non-refundable amount.  All deposits include a non-refundable amount of 10% of the total cost of the tour or other trip type.

Final Payment: Final payment is due 45 days prior to travel date in most cases, but may be due as early as 60 days before the departure date.  No travel vouchers will be issued until final payment is received in our office. Final payment conditions for certain accommodation and tour products may vary, these are shown on the individual pages. We will advise you in writing of these conditions at the time of booking. Please note the final payment may vary from the original booking price or quote if the product is subject to exchange rate fluctuations or price rises by wholesalers or other suppliers.

Standard Cancelation Policy: Bookings canceled 60 days or more from the departure date are subject to Cause Me to Travel’s cancelation fee of 50% of the deposit amount in addition to the cancelation fee imposed by the vendor(s).  Bookings canceled 30 – 59 days from the departure date are subject to the vendor’s cancelation penalty rate, and an additional 50% of the deposit amount imposed by Cause Me to Travel, LLC.Bookings canceled 0-29 days from the departure date are subject to the vendor’s cancelation penalty, and additional 75% of the deposit amount imposed by Cause Me to Travel.

Cancelations must be in writing.

Flight Cancellation Policy:  Flight Bookings are totally nonrefundable, and are not transferable.

Amendment Fees: Any amendments made to confirmed bookings will incur a fee; bookings of a value up to $1,000 a fee of $25, bookings of a value over $1,000 a fee of $50. The fees are charged per amendment. This is in addition to any fees that may be levied by the supplier or airline.

Late Booking Fees: A late booking fee of $100.00 can be charged if a booking is made within 72 hours prior to departure. This depends on the amount of administration work involved, and if applicable, you will be notified at time of reservation request from you or your agent.

Credit Card Chargeback Fees: Any fees charged to Cause Me to Travel by our credit card payment provider arising from a chargeback or a disputed charge on the cardholder’s credit card will be charged to the cardholder. This fee is non-refundable.

Change Of Itinerary AfterVacation Has Commenced: Any alteration or cancelation of services after your vacation has commenced can incur penalties. There is no refund for unused services.

Reporting of Incidents: Any abnormal incidents including injuries, service problems, cancelation of a service or dissatisfaction must be reported to Cause Me to Travel, LLC during the event to allow us an opportunity to rectify the situation or provide assistance.

Validity of Rates: Rates are valid for the dates indicated, are based on double occupancy unless otherwise noted, and are subject to change until booked.

Currency: All rates are quoted in US dollars, or as otherwise indicated.

Children’s Rates: Children’s rates vary according to the trip.  Please inquire with Cause Me to Travel for more information.  Children are not allowed on some itineraries or in some properties.

Payment Options:  Credit card payment via American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or Visa is accepted.  Travelers are required to complete a credit card authorization form for all charges to be made to the card for the protection of the traveler as well as for Cause Me to Travel, LLC.  Travelers who enter their credit card details online acknowledge booking terms and conditions and grant permission for Cause Me to Travel to charge the card provided.  Bank wire payments are also accepted.  Please contact us for more information.

Travel Insurance: It is extremely important that every traveler purchase travel insurance.  Travel insurance is required for all travel with Cause Me to Travel, LLC to Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Central America, Europe, India, and South America.  Your policy should cover involuntary or voluntary cancelation of your vacation including airfare, tours, shore excursions, transfers, and accommodations where applicable.  For information on the policy sold by RBC Travel Insurance, visit the RBC Insurance site and make yourself familiar with the coverage, rates, limitations, and disclaimers prior to purchasing the policy. At the time of entering your credit card details on the booking form you are agreeing that you have read both the Cause Me to Travel, LLC & RBC Travel Insurance Terms & Conditions.

Dates of birth, gender, residential address, and full cost of the trip is required to quote insurance coverage.

Full payment for the insurance amount is due at time of booking the trip.

Accommodation: Accommodation is as specified in tour descriptions. All costs are shown in US dollars, unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to offer alternative accommodation of a similar standard in the case the accommodation operator overbooks their property or for any reason beyond our control. All rates are subject to change without notice.

Flights: Airfares show instant availability and fares in US dollars at the time of quoting, however we will not proceed with booking flights until we receive your request for airfare, and once your accommodation is confirmed.  All airfare is subject to change until booked, and once booked may be subject to an increase in government taxes or fees.  Every passenger is responsible for meeting passport and visa requirements, though Cause Me to Travel, LLC will assist when requested.  Every passenger is also responsible for arriving in a timely fashion for flight departures – 3 hours minimum before the departing time for international flights and 2 hours minimum for domestic flights.

Check In / Check Out Times: These vary according to operator. Generally your accommodation check in is 15:00 hours ( 3:00pm) and check out  is 11:00 hours (11:00am). Please note that most properties will require a credit card authorization on check-in and may need to see photo identification.  Credit cards, not debit cards are preferred for hotels, villas, cruise lines, and air lines.

Single Supplement Costs: If not shown in your selected accommodation cost, this is available on application.  Most rates are quoted based on double occupancy, or two persons sharing a room.

Accommodation Ratings:Are based on our own inspections when possible, and some are in conjunction with Michelin, Zagat, and or AAA (American Automobile Association) ratings and are also stated according to the property’s, cruise line’s, air line’s, or tour company’s own ratings.Our ratings are for guidance only and are not to be construed as an endorsement of AAA or any other association.

Group and Incentive Travel: As group and conference rates are specially contracted rates specific for that particular group, they have different terms and conditions than standard vacations. If you are booking a group or incentive, please ensure that these conditions are explained to you.

All maps, photographs, illustrations and computer based graphics are included for general purposes only and are not always indicative of the subject matter. Hotel room photographs (graphics) may not be specific to the actual room occupied. Maps are not to scale.

Quotations: All quotations are subject to availability of services quoted and are not guaranteed until the booking is confirmed and deposit received. Quotes are valid for 48 hours from issue date.

Rates  Include:Accommodation, transfers, tours/cruises, government taxes and any other inclusions as specified in writing on the relevant web pages for each supplier’s product.  Any item or service not explicitly stated as being included in a rate is not included.

Rates DO NOT Include: Any costs incurred en route to and from the destination unless specified, meals unless specified, alcoholic beverages, telephone calls, items of a personal nature, and personal services not specified as being included in costs on the relevant web pages for each suppliers product. Rates do not include costs for visas, passports, immunizations, insurance, medical expenses, documentation costs, or site entry fees unless specified.

The copyright on all original/custom artwork, maps, navigation elements, presentation methods and design elements included in our web sites is held exclusively by Cause Me to Travel, LLC. Copyright on all descriptive text is held by Cause Me to Travel, LLC.  Copyright on selected photographic images is also held by Cause Me to Travel, LLC.

Photographic images are reproduced with the permission of Cause Me to Travel, LLC and the product and/or service providers represented on the web site, or as shown where necessary to satisfy the copyright obligations associated with their electronic reproduction.

Where joint copyright is held over proprietary text or images, Cause Me to Travel, LLC reserves the right to pursue all copyright infringements on behalf of the primary copyright holder. Where the copyright for a photographic image is held exclusively by a third party under license, Cause Me to Travel, LLC reserves the right to vigorously protect the copyright of those images on behalf of the third party.

All graphics used are declared to be works of art created for use by Cause Me to Travel, LLC only, and as such are subject to international intellectual property conventions. Image files, HTML documents, and text files are not to be relocated to another server, or duplicated for commercial purposes without the express written permission of Cause Me to Travel, LLC.

Cause Me to Travel, LLC  DBA Cause Me to Travel is an independently owned and operated travel agency.  Cause Me to Travel, LLC has relationships with various tourism boards, properties, cruise lines, airlines, villa rental, yacht rental and tour vendors, and as such exercises the right to reproduce images made available by these various organizations for the purpose of tourism promotion.
